2021 IEEE East Asian School of Information Theory

About the School

The 2021 IEEE East Asian School of Information Theory will be held Tuesday, August 3 through Friday, August 6 2021 at KAIST, Daejeon in South Korea. This will be the Inaugural East Asian School of Information Theory and follows a series of events designed to provide graduate students with opportunities to:

  • Learn from senior lecturers in the field who will present long-format tutorials;

  • Participate in a stimulating and inviting forum of scientists;

  • Present their own work for feedback and potential collaboration;

  • Deepen their connections with the community.

(Aug. 1) Opening session will be held on Aug. 3, 8:30am–8:50am KST (slides):

  • The zoom link to access was sent to registered participants.

  • Tutorial A will follow shortly after the opening session in the same zoom session.

(July 31) Poster registration deadline (title, abstract and authors) is extended to Aug. 2, 2021:

  • There will be the best poster award that comes with a plaque and an honorarium. It is given to the sole winner.

(July 30) Registration is closed:

  • The number of registered participants: 250

Program

The school will be held over four days and will consist of

  • Senior lecturers presenting long-format (2*2.5 hours) or standard-format (2.5 hours) tutorials;

  • Students presenting their own work in a poster session.
